Assignments
It is expected that students type their assignments. Figures, diagrams, and involved mathematical notations can be handwritten. A students who is unable to type, needs to contact the instructor before a handwritten assignment is submitted.
Assignments need to be uploaded to BlackBoard as one PDF file before their due date.
No handwritten material allowed.
For assignment number x, the name of the submitted file needs to be LastName.FirstName.x.PDF.
No late assignments will be accepted.
Assignments will typically be due 30 minutes before class starts. Blackboard submissions will not be possible after the stated due time.
If you are requesting an extension due to an illness or an emergency, you are expected to contact the instructor before the due date. You are expected to provide reasonable documentation.
Every assignment needs include the following
On the top of the first page: your full name as it appears on Blackboard, your Purdue e-mail address,and the assignment number
For all online material used in your solutions, give the complete URLs
No collaboration is allowed, you are required to solve all assignments on your own
For each assignment, start each question on a new page. Use spacing that makes it your writeup easy to read. Make appropriate paragraphs to improve readability.

For a re-grade on an assignment contact the TA responsible for the question within 7 days from the date when the assignment was officially returned. No re-grading after this period. A re-grade means that the entire assignment undergoes a re-grade.
Assignments are graded for correctness, clarity, conciseness, rigor, and efficiency. Follow these guidelines when describing your solution.
Copyright expectations
Lectures and course materials, including slides, tests, and other course materials, are the property of the instructor and are protected by copyright. As a student in the class, you may make copies of course materials for your own use. You may not and may not allow others to reproduce or distribute lecture notes and course materials publicly without my written consent. Violations will be dealt with as allowed by law under Section 512(c) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
In the event of a major campus emergency course requirements, deadlines, and grading percentages are subject to changes that may be necessitated by a revised semester calendar. If such unusual circumstances arise, students will be informed via Blackboard.
